The brick is almost done. I'm glad to see that it looks good. The brick choice was the hardest for us to make, and I was a little nervous.
We had them add some stone accents - a stone ribbon and keystones over the garage doors.
The drywall is almost done.
This is the living room. The kitchen is on the other side of the wall to the right.
Here is the entry-way and stairs.
They have also finished the deck, which is off the dining room.

We had a birthday party for both kids last Saturday (10/20) at Pump it Up. It was a great party. The kids had a blast.
Joey wasn't sure what to think of everyone singing to him. He had an Elmo cupcake cake.

Tuesday (10/16) was Katherine's 5th birthday. She spent the afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa at Build-a-Bear and the zoo. Tuesday evening we all went to her favorite restaurant - Shorty Smalls. They introduced her to everyone and sang to her. We came home and she opened her gifts.

They have almost finished the siding - the north side is the only side not finished.
The siding on the front is finished - the rest will be brick (which you can see piled in the driveway). They will soon begin spending more time inside. I'll post interior pictures soon.

Last Sunday (the 7th) we took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We went to Prairie Pines - it is a Christmas ree farm that just started the pumpkin patch a few years ago.
The kids love to see how tall they are each year.
The kids took a train ride around the farm.
It's almost impossible to get a good picture of all four kids - especially when they're looking into the sun.
Each kid painted a pie pumpkin. Needless to say, it got really messy.

The changes to the house are now going very quickly.
All windows and most doors are on (the garage doors are on but open in this picture). The roof is done, the electrical is done and most of the duct work is done. The showers, bathtub and fireplace are in.
On Monday (the 1st) we spent our lunch break picking out our appliances.
We had our electrical walk-through on Thursday (the 4th). It was really good. Both the superintendent and electrician were great. They were very helpful and took their time with us to make sure all questions were answered.
We have had a very good experience so far. We have had 2 issues - one of which was corrected the same day that we called them on it. Everything is picked out, so much of our work is done. We are still on track to close mid-December.
