Trouble

Joey loves to walk around with his hand inside his overalls. He has now figured out how to get his diaper off this way.

He thinks it's pretty funny.

This is the same look that I get whenever he does something that he shouldn't do. I think I'm in for some trouble...

House Update # 6

We can walk around in the house much easier now that they've taken out the braces.

They should be putting on the shingles Monday.

House Update # 5

It's really looking like a house today. It looks a little different everyday now.

Katherine is standing in her room.

And Joey is in his room.
The kids's rooms are in the front of the house - the two windows.

Here is the back of the house from Maize road. It has a view-out basement. The window on the left is where the deck will be. The large window on the right is the master bedroom - the window won't be quite that large once they finish boxing it in .

Exploration Place

We took the kids to Exploration Place today.

Katherine flew some paper airplanes.

The first thing Joey said when we walked in was "horsey".

House Update # 4

They started framing the house last week. We took the kids to see it Sunday.

It's exciting to see progress.

On Monday, they starting framing some walls on the main floor. As you can see, they started with the garage.

Family Day

Hawker Beechcraft had an open house on Saturday to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the company. We spent a few hours touring the plants, having lunch, and playing in the kids' area.

After coming home for a short nap, we went to the fair.

We try to go each year, but didn't make it last year, so it was a first for Kennedie and Joey. We rode the train and several little rides with the kids.

Katherine and Kyler rode the ponies.

Here are all four kids while we waited to ride the train.

Labor Day 2007

We took the kids to the zoo today.

We ate lunch at the pavilion.

Joey got to walk rather than ride in a stroller. He loved the freedom.

Both kids were asleep within minutes of pulling out of the parking lot.

Wichita Flight Festival

Last Sunday (8/26), we took the kids to the Wichita Flight Festival.

There was a good airshow, but it was loud and both kids were scared, so we didn't get to watch it very long. We had a free lunch and walked around.

We bought them each an airplane. Joey's is now his favorite toy. He flies it around the house while making an engine noise - something I had never seen him do before.
